My reoccurring collegiate themed nightmare

by: Ross

Every once in a while I have this reoccurring nightmare where I am at Tech and I can’t remember my class schedule. I have to run to the library or some other place and look up which classes I’m taking on a computer. Usually by then I’ve missed the first day of some rather important class.

Also, it updates to keep abreast with current technology. Previously I would always end up at the library checking my schedule. Lately I pull out my MacBook and check it on the pervasive wifi network.

It’s, I guess, not truly a nightmare, but it reoccurs a lot.

  1. I’m 4 years removed from college and I have the same exact nightmare. Or I make it to class and theres some make or break exam and I haven’t studied at all.

Then I wake up freaking out, but realize I’m out of school and feel much better.

  2. I had dreams like that, but only when I was still at Tech.

  3. i still have one where it’s the end of the semester and all of my work is due, but i haven’t done anything all semester. this nightmare is based largely in reality.

  4. Remember when you failed pottery?

  5. i didn’t fail!!! i told my professor i needed to pass in order to graduate and she passed me! get it straight.

that was totally unfair anyway. just bc i was taking pottery to levels never witnessed by mankind and it didn’t work out that well, i have to fail? what about innovation and creativity? that has to be worth something. just bc i didn’t make a single pot in an entire semester doesn’t mean i didn’t learn as much or more than my classmates.

  7. When I was in college I would have dreams of spending much time in a practice room, working on a piece or excerpt or what not. When I woke up I would apply what I learned in the dream, and most often it cut down on the preparation time I needed for the music.

There’s got to be something wrong with that.
