So …
I totally just chased some would-be muggers down a street.
Two black dudes tried to mug my smallish friend while he was leaving Beerble. Our other, giant sized, friend had the presence of mind to dash out the door when he heard our friend’s cries for help. I followed. I’m not sure what I/we intended to do once we “caught” them though. Luckily (for us or them?) they got into a silver/white Mitsubishi Eclipse and drove off.
Guess what mugger assholes? Maybe you shouldn’t have gone into a convenience store and looked RIGHT INTO THE SECURITY CAMERA before mugging my friend. PWN. Assholes.
What the hell is going on? Is there a crime wave happening? I feel like I’ve heard of a million crimes lately.

Heart is still beating fast, real fast. Screw mugger assholes.

That makes me feel physically ill. Nichole attacked IN her apartment, your guy right outside of an apartment, I mean do I stay inside or stay outside? Or move away?

whoa maxpower to the rescue.

damm… glad you all are ok…
is this the start of another crazy story???

Haha no, unfortunately it is a true life story. The more I think about it, the stranger it seems that we chased after people that attempted to mug my friend. Like what were we going to do if we caught up to them? They didn’t take anything, so it wasn’t like we were trying to get anything back.
Life is crazy slash beautiful sometimes.

Did they have a weapon? I definitely believe in spur-of-the-moment street justice, but hopefully they will get caught by the popo, and only the bad guys go to jail.
I feel like my area (Carver/Jackson Ward) is much safer than when I moved there 3.5 years ago. Still not what I would call super-safe (suburbia), but safe-er. I was threatened to be drive-byed (is that a word?) recently, though.
I’ve been thinking about getting a gun and a concealed carry permit, but haven’t decided yet.

I thought last night about making a sling for my baseball bat and just carrying that around.
I’d be like Casey Jones.

I thought about running a shopping cart into their car, oh wait i tried and it might have saved my life.

get a sword, swords are way cooler.

“Para bellum”-
We caught these guys. They are also responsible for robberies in 1st precinct. Please keep in mind however, that if you are the victim of a crime—it is best to be an EXCELLENT WITNESS. Providing accurate information reference suspect description is the best way to help us catch these guys. Ross and friends did an excellent job with providing the police with accurate information that helped capture these men. If you have any questions reference this or any other crime, please give me a call.

[...] I sure hope Patterson Express is not forced to move out. It’s great having a convenience store so close by. And the dudes that work there are so nice. It’s night and day at 7-11, where the people working have no personality and definitely don’t want to be there. The Patterson Express employees even helped out with the would-be mugging on Patterson, supplying video tape of the attackers. [...]
