Some Google Analytics graphs — by request
John wanted some analytics graphs so I thought I’d give them to him. Below are visits over four months for three sites I am invovled in: RVABlogs, WotBN, and Haduken.com

What post does that one Haduken peak correspond with?

4/16/07

I totally just lied to you. RVABlogs has the big spike on 4/16. That big Haduken spike corresponds to the start of the zombie epic.

oh, ha ha ha. Zombie day was awesome

Thanks for the graphs! They look to softly correlate my notion about cyclical traffic patters. The definitely widely-established RVABlogs has a similar, if even more regular, cycle than chpn (indicating a more broad audience for rvablogs). WotBN is starting the develop the cycle, and anecdotally that site seem to be finding a more broad and regular audience.

Honestly, I wish you could throw out weekends on Google Analytics.

Hey, some of us depend on weekends. Rainy, gross weekends during which people watch movies. Particularly weekends following the Oscars. Oh for March 2008!

Google analytics should calculate a day-of-week seasonality and deseasonalize the visits graphs, so you could more easily see trends.
