Webb Aide Packs Heat

An aide to our very own Jim Webb was arrested the other day for trying to carry a loaded pistol along with 2 loaded ammo clips into the US Senate office building.

Maybe someone should let the Capitol Police know that in Virginia, this is perfectly normal, accepted practice.

  1. I guess DC has different firearm laws than ol’ Virginia, huh?

    I don’t read political websites that much, but is this a “big deal” amongst conservative bloggers? I don’t really see why it is a big deal at all.

  2. i saw webb talking on cnn while i was waiting in line at the post office today. i assume it was about this? dunno about the blogozoneosphereotrope.

    i wouldnt have even mentioned it except for the former incident linked to above… seems to be forming a pattern. an awesome pattern! go va!

  3. I heard a guy on the radio claim that it would be a 2-3 day story, so no big deal.

    Other things I have heard but have no way to confirm or pages to link to:
    1. The ammunition was of an illegal nature.
    2. Senators are allowed to take arms into the building if they aren’t loaded and are boxed up.
