An assemblage of thoughts. Like Voltron, but thoughts instead of robot cats.

First thought — it’s about sports

The Superbowl, sports-wise and ad-wise, was dull. This was a bit homophobic, this a bit racist, and this the funniest commercial of the night. Overall a pretty subpar batch of ads if you ask me.

Payton Manning managed not to choke (although I saw about fifteen whiny Payton Manning faces) and won his first championship at any level. Huzzah Payton. Now, we can finally move on and stop talking about you.

WotBN (still) lives!

Last Wednesday I launched West of the Boulevard News to much a little bit of ballyhoo. Over the course of six days the site has received 644 visits by 265 users. Not too bad for week number one. Most interesting things so far: A review of Flushed Away, a bit about the Smoke Free Air Act, and thoughts on Rex Grossman.

Obviously the site is growing/changing as we speak. If you’d like to help out in any way (especially advertising with us if you own a business in the area) please let us know. Achtung Residents! Send us your tips!

Judi Dench, aka. the love of my life

I in the midst of a serious Judi Dench love affair. I don’t really want to expound on this because it gets old and wrinkly rather fast.
