Reasons not to move to New Jersey

- The entire state of New Jersey is a suburb to a city in another state.
- One time I flew over a “river” in New Jersey. Its banks were lined with the rotting hulls of abandoned boats. And probably dead bodies.
- People in NJ don’t live in towns or cities. They live off of exit numbers.
- For a state that invented college football they sure have some crappy college football team(s).
- New Jersey is, by in large, populated with people from New Jersey.

dude the jersey shore is insane. i mean i wouldn’t live there. but if you go there in the summer its insane. i dont get it.
also they live in townships. like brick is a twonship. etc.
New Jersey was a great place at one time. Musicians embarked there to get noticed before playing in New York. There were people of many cultures living together and getting along. The smell of ethnic food filled the air in certain neighborhhods and it was inexpensive to purchase preservative free foods. There were respectable businesses, like Bambergers (now Macy’s), Hahnes, Orbachs, Woolworths, The RKO and Branford Movies. As a baby boomer, I remember it being a great place to grow up in. THEN OUTSIDERS began to migrate to New Jersey with all their craziness and began contaminate this great place. Now people see it as a big crazy messed up place filled with insensitive people and highways leading to nothing. Sadly enough, its better days are gone and its remnants are shredded beyond recognition. It will take a miracle to bring New Jersey back to the great place it was, but one thing for sure. It still has great food and great culture. Virginia is a neat place to visit, Williamsburg, Fredricksburg, Shannondoah Valley, BUT it needs much improvement in the cultural area. Not to worry, things are changing and people from other countries are now migrating to Virginia. Its beauty will be used up one day also.
someone in my extended family owns some cottages/cabins on a sweet lake in the woods bordering a state park. we go there for family stuff sometimes. you can hardly believe you’re in new jersey. but you have to drive thru miles of total crap to get there. i think it’s the last nice place in jersey.

Fucking losers living in Elvis country talking shit about New Jersey. That’s rich. New Jersey is the second richest (per capita) state in the union and boasts the most millionaires. Great Italian food, and lots of culture. I grew up with Forbes, Newhouses, Mellons, Bakers and all sorts of other people better than you fucks.

Is that why you won’t come to my wedding? Having lived in the South (DC, Virginia and Florida) and the West (Nevada and California), I can tell you that NJ is an awesome place to live…the other states are nice too..at least, however, I have a basis for my argument. Have you ever lived anywhere besides the South? You can’t claim worldliness when you don’t ever go anywhere.

Sorry for being so grouchy up there. I really love NJ and it’s really pretty where I grew up. You don’t have to believe me…you could find out for yourself IF you were coming to my wedding. But you’re not.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — What do a plunger, a playpen, a jockstrap, fake plastic breasts, a pregnancy test and five pairs of underwear have in common?
They were among nearly 260,000 items of sometimes bizarre trash that either was left or washed up on New Jersey’s beaches last year. The total: about 40 tons.
