Turntable Sessions v2.0
Tonight the Patchwork Collective presents the Turntable Sessions v2.0, 7pm @ Ada Gallery.
It should be pretty sweet. The concept: individual musicians are paired in groups along with a DJ and together they improv for ten minutes. Sometimes it turns out crappy, but sometimes it turns out amazing. There will probably be a trombone there, and I can support that.
So come out, make sure you get there on time though because the last PC show sold out and people were turned away.

i don’t feel like i could ever go to a patchwork collective show, but i support the concept in my too-fashionable-for-downtown mind. i’m so bitter at the downtown scene for its misunderstanding of me- what can i say? i’m also bitter that what was supposed to be movement of kids against the social norm hates what doesn’t fit into their now-established norm. hypocritical bastards.
awe, peter, i’m just talkin outta my ass. but still, i’m just sayin… damn exclusionary stuck-up downtown posse. if only my clothes fit a little tighter = more sensitive. damn.

Dude what are you even talking about?
— MaxPower | @
yeah ddue what are you talking about?
sensitivity has been out since the 90’s. now its all about scoring with babes and kickin ass and takin names.
or something.

Plus that crowd doesn’t even come out to PC stuff — which you would know if you came out. Mostly it is beerble dudes and jazz dudes.
Also, jazz dudes are crazy.
— MaxPower | @
1. i was just being crazy and i was joking. sometimes i just say outlandish things and i know both of you do also- don’t be so senstitive, which takes me to…
2. i was talking fashion sensitivity- not emotional or musical sensitivity. and i see it every day of my life, so i’m pretty sure it’s still in for some clique.
3. i was kidding when i said it, but in reading over it, i think the stuff i said about social norms and crap is still true. but, whatever.
4. hope the show was good.

Wolf - what you just said was “I really ought to come to a patchwork show.”
I feel like you’re talking about goth kids in high school. Patchwork isn’t a movement against societal norms, it’s a way to hear good music you’ve never heard before. I wear khaki pants sometimes to shows, and I’m *in* patchwork somewhat.
— RMSzero | @
that’s fine.
i was intending to speak more about an entire scene than about A. PC or B. anybody in particular on or off haduken. good for you if more than just this scene attends your shows. yippi! i love the hippie- everyone’s welcome feel. congrats to you guys.
i never meant to imply patchwork was against social norms. i never even thought about what PC was really about socially. i thought it was supposed to be about music?
this has more to do with underlying bitterness towards a scene than anything else. i feel fine going to croaker spot where i obvioulsy don’t fit in- it’s not about khaki pants pursay.
look, just forget about it. i didn’t mean to hurt everyone’s little feelings. have fun at your shows with your khaki pants and your babes and takin names. sorry i ever posted anything ever. seriously.
— Wolf | @
Hahaha.
Dudes Croaker’s. Lets go there. I NEED to.
— MaxPower | @
yeah i think everyone lost their minds for a bit.
Wolf…come to a show. It’s sweet, I promise.
And thank you to all for coming to MY show on saturday. Even though it is the cliqiest (sp?), and it is way more about kicking ass than enjoying good music, but whatever. It was sweet. Our party ruled also. Stabby was there and everyone but Ross, Jake, and Brock missed it!!!
— Jeremiah to the E | @
Yeah dude Stabby is nutz. That guy, FO REAL.
