Some crazy stuff going on in the world of gadgets

Hopefully at least some of this will be new to you.

I was going to post some of this in “Whoa Check this out…” but there was just so much to share.

I will begin by adding fuel to our past conversations that cell phones will take over the gadget world.
(this ended up just being a list of all cell phone news, i can’t help that it interests me)
Cell Phones

  1. It all starts with crazy amounts of storage
  2. Then we go on to Navigation.
    Here
is another story about it. And this is in case you perfer GSM.
  3. Digi TV and your cell phone (this story really amazed me)
  4. Nokia goes Open Source
  5. There is alot of debate going on right now about cell phones on airplanes, which i hope doesn’t happen just on the basis of it being anoying, but have you heard this?
  6. I couldn’t find a link for this but apparently fixed telephones in the US are going to plumet soon, now there are 70 for every 100 people, that number is estimated to drop to 40 per 100 by 2009

Computer Programming
I did not read this whole article but apparnetly this is going to revolutionize hardware developement, where revolutionize means render useless.
Turn your gaming machine into a parallel proccessing super computer with Scout.

Google
If you knew about this new stuff from Google then I hate you for not letting me know sooner: Short cachedvideos search and there is a closed caption text indexing that I can’t find a good link for.

Digi TV
Looking into upgrading your TV? DLP looks more and more atractive. Also, you better hurry up, the FCC is working hard to outdate your old analog.

Energy
Back to the old energy debate, Japan once again rocks when we do not

Wireless(less)
If homeless people aren’t enough to stop you, here is another reason not to move to the butt of America Portland. Sadly Heaven also makes the list at #39.

Cool
Hopefully coming soon to a library near you.
This kid went all out for the science fair, doesn’t he know you are just supposed to grow plants under light of various colors (or build a volcano)
