Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Nerds

So me, havoc and RMSzero adventured out into the wild blue south side of Richmond Virginia last night (and technically this morning) to see Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. This post is not a review of the movie, this post isn’t even about the movie. It is about the nerds. Specifically Star Wars nerds.

Outside the Theatre
There were a lot of people there. Commonwealth 20 sold out 8 theatres for the 12:01AM showing. There were lines on either side of the entrance.
Here you can see 3 dudes in Jedi robes, one dude in a bathrobe and one dude with a really bad Storm Trooper costume on.
Apparently this Sith Lord likes to keep in touch with his family. It was his mother’s birthday! Force Chokes for everyone!
How awesome is this guy? A fatty in a tight flight suit with two lightsabers *and* a bike helmet. Are you this awesome? I asked him “gimme some sorta sweet action shot” — and this is what I got.
This is a good picture to compare and contrast what a good Storm Trooper costume looks like, and what a crappy one looks like. See if you can spot the crappy one!

Holy crap, midas is totally going to leave me for NATURE FANTASY ALL OVER PRINT SHIRT girl. I bet she has a dream catcher, too.
Looks like fun, if I was there though I would have totally been that kid that was about to fall asleep standing up.
Great captions. Although I feel like the crappily clad storm trooper was smarter, he got to watch the movie in him jammies while that other sucker was covered in hard, thick plastic.

Awsome pics. Does anyone know where I can find the pics that were taken at Virginia Center Commons Regal cinemma? My daughter was the marketing winner who had several pics taken with everyone and had dinner with a few stormtroopers and Darth. PLease let me know if you can help Thanx.
