Tonight I went to MC CHRIS. Aside from the punx trying to fight nerds, (mc chris kicked them out) and the heat; it was an awesome show. Chris looked a lot different then I expected and yet so much how I expected. Luggage opened up for him and they were so so. Kind of boring if you ask me.
Then The Gaskets played and they were both hilarious and awesome.
Then MC Chris came on to the delights of everyone.
Nerds rejoiced!
this guy was a dance machine. like seriously, no joke. he walked in and just danced danced DANCED!

luggage. a rap duo from richmond. they were ok…

It was hard to tell because you can’t really understand the words of any songs at a show. The seemed more like “real” rap songs. But honestly I couldn’t tell you if they were bad or good, the beats were cool though.
Let me just tell you that the gaskets are awesome. I might even PURCHASE their CD. They put on such a great show too. Man I can’t get over it. THEY HAD A SONG ABOUT POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS. I mean come on people, that is awesome.
Also there were dudes with glows sticks like it was a rave. Just two of them. Weird.
I want to say that those pictures look like you halucinated them into a scanner. I’m not criticizing though, it’s not like you can whip a tripod out of your hoodie for the occasion, but seriously. Those pictures are amazing. The show was amazing too.
I don’t know if the Gaskets would be nearly as good on a CD when the guy can’t dance around anymore. I wonder if they have a DVD?
the gaskets album ‘big fun’ is ok – but it is pretty old – they are better now. check out their new songs on myspace.

yeah i kept trying to get the flash to work with the lights in that palce. but the lighting in that place sucks. plus i was kind of far away too so the lgiht had to travel farther. oh well. c’est la vie.
yo, i manage the gaskets… glad you liked us so much… we are playing with mc again in athens GA and will be back in richmond at alley katz march 4th… and for the record… the old CD is kinda average… the new stuff is hot… we should have new stuff out by the summer….

mc chris is awesome. and it suprised me his new stuff is just as good if not alot better since i loved his first songs(fettes vette, dq blizzard, hijack). check out his new songs “yacht birds” and “tothpick spliffs”. they re pretty sweet.
